FY2026

I-140 by employment preference

USCIS publishes one processing time for I-140 as a whole. What it breaks out by preference is volume — filings, approvals, denials and the pending queue, thirteen years deep and split by country of birth.

For FY2026 Q2 USCIS reported a median I-140 processing time of 3.4 months, covering every preference together. There is no published median for EB-1, EB-2 or EB-3 on their own.

By country of birth

Country of birth is what decides the visa queue after an I-140 is approved, which is why USCIS reports the five largest separately.
