NIW approvals: how many USCIS actually grants

National interest waiver approvals by year and country of birth, from the agency's own report.

"NIW approval rate" is the most-searched number in the national interest waiver world, and it is not a number USCIS publishes. The agency reports NIW as an approval category inside EB-2 — it counts the petitions it approved under that heading and does not separate out the ones it denied. So there is no rate to report, only a count.
